This is the last bit of studio recorded material by Six Gun Lullaby, a 3 piece Rock n Roll band from Nashville, TN comprised of Tiffany Minton: drums, Claire Adams: vocals/guitars, and Martin James Schneider: guitars/vocals.
The story of this EP.
The recording of this EP started in the summer months of 2008 by Keller Mcdivitt here in East Nashville. We took a break from recording to head out for a month and a half long tour that August/September, and upon returning to Nashville were just never able to get back on track. Overdub sessions were few and far between and at the end of 2008 Keller without warning or notice vacated his home studio and moved to Brooklyn along with our tracking and overdub files.
Over the course of the next 3 months, Keller was incommunicado. We tried everything to get him to respond, but like most people who are ashamed of their wrongdoings, he chose avoidance over facing up. Finally we were able to track down his address, and my brother Karl who lives in Brooklyn was the one that finally came through in securing our files and mailing them to us.
Overdubbing and rerecording of a good portion of the EP continued, but at a lackluster pace due to the amount of heartache we had gone through. Two of the tracks recorded for Rising Sun were in the end cut as they were never fully realized in the way they were intended.
With Claire planning to move to Missouri and Six Gun in a sense disbanding, we figured it was only proper to tie up all remaining loose ends. This EP which I feared might never see the light of day is now scheduled to be released via free download here.
Only 100 hardcopies of this EP are slated to be pressed, and at our final show on the 28th of February, everyone in attendance will receive a copy. If any copies remain after the 28th they will be sold through this site for the average cost of shipping ~ $2-$3.
There a still a few copies of our first album 'Smash Your Records' available and they can be purchased from CDBaby.com/cd/sixgunlullaby
, or downloaded for free in its entirety from this site here.
It is going to be sad to say goodbye to Claire and Tiff, but there are definitely no hard feelings. We love each and every one of you and hope you enjoy the last little bit of us.
